I'm back after an adventure filled month. Since the last time I wrote, I have gone to Christmas Banquet, survived finals, gone to family Christmas in Pennsylvania, spent a few weeks at home, spent a week in Washington D.C, figured out that I will be graduating in December of 2009 instead of May 2010, and caught up on the work that I miss while in D.C. WOW...just typing it all is exhausting! It was a fantastic month though. Christmas Banquet was a lot of fun. I sat at a table with my closest friends, most who will be graduating this year, for their final Banquet. I finished up finals week and then headed home! My boyfriend was able to come meet my parents for the first time (AH) during our first weekend out of school. I then left home and spent a week in Pennsylvania to visit my Grandparents. We spent Christmas there and got to do all of our family traditions that help to make this time of the year so great. When we came home, it was time for me to start thinking about this semester (
buying books and finalizing registration.) Eventually January 12th came and I hopped onto a plane with 29 other Olivet Students and headed for Washington D.C. We spent a week there attending seminars and seeing the sights of our nations capital. It was a fantastic week for me. I love politics and I really fell in love with the city. I came out of the situation learning a lot more than I expected. It was refreshing to discuss issues that are often over looked by voters, especially voters that are my age. Now I'm back at school and gearing up for the semester. Wish me luck!
